Regardless of how a fitness tracker is used, it relies heavily on health and geolocation data. With this information, it is easy to derive habits of a person, to know their home location, to predict when and where a person is likely to pass by or to know how healthy and fit someone is. It is also a gold mine, ready to be used for target advertising. We believe that it should be possible to use a fitness tracker and benefit of its advantages thank to the data collected without giving up privacy.
Our goal at PACE is to provide a secure fitness tracker, intuitive, with a modern UI that protects the privacy of its users.
By using industry standard cryptography algorithms, the geolocation and health data are end-to-end encrypted before being uploaded and stored. This guarantees that the athletes using PACE remain in control of their data by being the only ones having access to such personal information and eventually being able to share their trainings however they want. Read our whitepaper for more details.
The first version of PACE is available on Android and iOS. It allows you to track your runs and analyse them afterwards. Among other features, we plan to add support for more sports in the future and keep working on the activity insights.
